Some last-minute snaps from Sunday night. Pop-up flash, with D700 set to auto-everything.

Slow-sync, rear-curtain. (Rear curtain is when the flash goes off at the end of the shutter. Totally unnecessary for this occasion, but that's my default.) The long exposures let you crank the ambient lighting up, so the background isn't always pitch-black. The blur can be overwhelming in some captures, though... as can the grain, when your ISO creeps up past 1600.

Kinda like the orange lighting from the tungsten and street lights. Hallowe'en is the only night where that doesn't look putrid.
